It’s been 3 weeks since I quit doomscrolling, and honestly, I’m shocked at the results.

Did I imagine that I’d have a full blown blog, website, newsletter, Facebook page, Instagram page, and ads running at 3 weeks?

No, I really didn’t think that would happen at all.

Aside from tackling this project, my home is so much cleaner, my relationship with our 6month old son has gotten so much better, and I'm finally facing some personal issues that were deeply affecting my marriage.

All because I quit one toxic habit.

This entire project has felt such a huge driving force behind it.

I forgot how much writing meant to me.

I forgot a lot of things, to be honest.

Life has been a whirlwind since Covid, and the metamorphosis I’ve gone through in the last few years alone has been tremendous.

I changed so much as a person, and I also left so many great things behind.

I used to write every day.

I used to do yoga and stretching every day.

I used to dance and sing every day.

I used to hula hoop every day.

I’m hoping to get all of those things back. No, I’m actually *planning* to get all of those things back.

I even got my first subscriber yesterday, which was a huge milestone.

This entire project has been driven by taking action instead of wasting time, and seeing what grows in place of the void.

It’s crazy, to think how much time was wasted on watching senseless reels.

I couldn’t even recall what I watched half the time.

I just numbed myself into oblivion.

Because that was *easier.* It was easier to do, than living with pain and discomfort.

I forgot how much daily life meant to me, and how important it was to embrace it.

I convinced myself those precious hours didn’t matter. That I was just passing the time in a leisurely manner.

*Except leisure shouldn’t cost you your mind, and it shouldn’t affect the most important people around you.*

It shouldn't set you back from your goals.

If 3 weeks of cutting out a “leisurely” activity has resulted in such a net positive in my life…

.. *then it wasn’t leisure at all.*

It was destructive.

I’m glad I ended the destruction, and shifted gears to something so much more positive and fulfilling.

I’m grateful to anyone who’s joined along for the ride. It seriously means so much to have your support.

I have something exciting planned in the coming weeks, to really help others, so stay tuned for that.

For now, I'm super grateful that my writing is impacting even one person, and if this little project helps even one other person, then it was a success.
